EDUTEL ACADEMY NEET UPDATES NEET 2018 online forms on Feb 8? Reports suggest NEET likely to be made mandatory to study medicine abroad. New Delhi: National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET 2018 online application forms are likely to be released today. Yesterday, the Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE's official website for NEET examination became unresponsive after massive traffic of students tried to search for the forms. With just about a month left for CBSE Board examinations and most of the other State Board Examinations, students are anxious about filling the notification. The expectations of a notification soon were further raised when the official website cbseneet.nic.in remained unresponsive for the entire day. Towards the evening, the CBSE release an official note on the website confirming that due to heavy traffic on the server, the website was unavailable. However, the website is working fine now and there is no update yet on the NEET 2018 notification. Also raising concerns are questions related to varying accounts of the introduction of upper age limit of 25 years in NEET, changes in eligibility criteria for the exam disqualifying the open school students from applying for the examination. The latest news to arrive over changes in NEET are the suggestions of Health Ministry which might make NEET qualification mandatory for students planning to study medicine abroad. Answers to all the queries would only be answered with NEET 2018 notification which is expected today, February 8, as per sources. Many students have taken to social media to share their displeasure on the delay and silence from the conducting board, CBSE. Last year the notification was released at the end of January. This year, however, there is no official notification nor any hint from CBSE. A student who is eagerly waiting for the notification shared the frustration. “We are preparing for our board examinations and also waiting for the notification. This is very frustrating!” she said. Another student who is in the final year of his graduation and has been preparing for NEET shared the confusion over the age limit. “It is like we are hanging by a thread. Only news and conjectures. CBSE should share the date when the notification would be released. This is just too much confusion and playing with student emotion, ” shared the disgruntled student. Thousands of students are not even sure if they would be eligible to apply for NEET 2018 this year. Whether it is the age limit or the eligibility criteria that bars open school candidates, there is no clarity as yet. The answers to all of these queries can only be officially answered with the NEET 2018 notification. Sources have suggested that CBSE would be releasing the NEET 2018 notification on February 8.
