1 days left for NEET 2020 registration; points to keep in mind! The online registrations for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 will last till 31st December, 2019. National Testing Agency (NTA) released the application form on December 2, 2019 in online mode. Due to the AIIMS and JIPMER merger, this year, the expected number of candidates to appear in the exam is around 16 lakh which was 15.19 lakh in the year 2019. Aspirants must hurry up and fill their application forms and submit it before the last date. NTA will conduct NEET UG exam for 2020 on May 3 for admission to around 78, 335 MBBS seats including AIIMS and JIPMER, 26, 949 BDS seats and 52, 720 AYUSH seats in medical and dental colleges across India. Applicants whose application form will be accepted by the authority will be eligible to download the NEET UG admit card 2020 on March 27. Since only 1 day are left for the registrations, candidates are advised to keep some points in mind. 6 key points to keep in mind while filling the application form 1. Last date of submission: Candidates must fill in and submit their application forms within December 31, 2019. According to NTA, Applicants who will fulfill the eligibility criteria of the examination will be able to download their admit cards from the official website - ntaneet.nic.in. 2. Fill in the details: Candidates are advised to fill the details carefully such as gender, category, nationality, state of eligibility (15% for all India quota), person with disability, medium of question paper, preference of exam city. Candidates are also required to attach a recent passport size photograph which will be verified by the authority later. 3. Criteria for Code eligibility: Candidates are often confused about the eligibility codes and they need to fulfill some criteria to apply for NEET 2020. Thus, it is advised that candidates go through details regarding the same available in the information brochure. 4. State of Eligibility (for 15% All India Quota): Candidates are eligible to apply under this quota independent of their choice under State of Eligibility except the candidates belonging to the erstwhile state of J & K (now known as UTs of Kashmir and Ladakh) are not eligible for 15% as the erstwhile state of J & K had opted out of All India Scheme. For the remaining 85% seats allotted to State/UT quota, the domicile will be governed by the respective state rules. 5. Uploading of scanned images: It must be noted that most of the forms get rejected due to issues with the dimensions of the documents that are uploaded. So, candidates must keep a check on the dimensions of documents to be uploaded. 6. NEET registration fees: The application fee of NEET 2020 can be paid only in online mode. The fees for NEET registration can be paid through debit/credit cards, net banking and UPI using the service provider of State Bank of India (SBI), Syndicate Bank, HDFC bank, ICICI bank or Paytm.
